Bergheim Christian Fellowship has been graciously gifted approximately 14 acres in Bergheim!  It's time to plan for a permanent church home!  Will you prayerfully consider pledging toward making this possible?  Working with our architect, the plan includes a worship space that accommodates 475 seats, a small chapel/library, and adequate discipleship spaces for Kingdom Kids, Overflow (student ministry), and adults.  One space creatively becomes a multipurpose space for receptions, banquets, or larger teaching space.  Beautiful land creates beautiful outdoor fellowship spaces.  Therefore this plan incorporates courtyard areas for fellowship or outdoor venue usage.  In the end, we believe this plan allows a permanent home with adequate space to grow and flex based on the various ways God intends to have it used...for the edification of His church, and the glory of His name in Bergheim!

The elders asked the church to prayerfully participate in our Pray and Pledge drive over the summer, which resulted in an amazing 81% church participation and a combined pledge/gift amount of $9.355 million.  Our estimate to build the church building and associated discipleship spaces was $10M - $12M.  Using the full $12M estimate, the fundraising effort yielded 78% of the amount to build!  Here are the next steps:

1. The elders will gather the church into one of three "town hall" meetings, October 18th, 25th, and November 1st.  These meetings will provide the opportunity for church feedback on the process, the plan, the outcome, and the future.
2. Our architect will solicit bids from select general contractors based on the existing plans with the expectation of receiving cost estimages before the first meeting above.
3. Following the church meetings, the elders and building committee will determine if it is wise to move ahead with the existing plan, the plan with modifications, and with or without the need of either a line of credit that helps with construction cash flow, or a loan that bridges the gap between project costs and expected support.
4. Civil Engineers continue to work with the site developer as they move forward with road, drainage, and well development and county approval.  This is happening independent of the church project.
