Help BCF Build in Bergheim!

Bergheim Christian Fellowship has been graciously gifted approximately 14 acres in Bergheim!  It's time to plan for a permanent church home!  Will you prayerfully consider pledging toward making this possible?  Working with our architect, the plan includes a worship space that accommodates 475 seats, a small chapel/library, and adequate discipleship spaces for Kingdom Kids, Overflow (student ministry), and adults.  One space creatively becomes a multipurpose space for receptions, banquets, or larger teaching space.  Beautiful land creates beautiful outdoor fellowship spaces.  Therefore this plan incorporates courtyard areas for fellowship or outdoor venue usage.  In the end, we believe this plan allows a permanent home with adequate space to grow and flex based on the various ways God intends to have it used...for the edification of His church, and the glory of His name in Bergheim!

What We Are Planning

Worship Space

The worship space design incorporates our "wish list" items of natural light and lofty ceilings.  Seating capacity has been set at 475 seats which is double the current seating available at Voss.  Work is being done to ensure the room has excellent acoustical properties conducive to the proclamation of the Word and congregational worship.

Beautiful Grounds

Bergheim is a beautiful place, and these fourteen acres are some of the most beautiful in Bergheim!  This plan creates a safe and shaded playground area for our kids, and multiple outdoor areas for fellowship and gathering.  Who knows?  We may even host outdoor weddings?

Discipleship & Fellowship Spaces

Church-as-family and discipleship are core to the heart of BCF, and spaces need to be built to enable both to happen for generations.  Adequate classroom space for discipleship hour where the youngest to the oldest learn to be more like Jesus, as well as a larger space for conversation and events are important pieces of this plan.  The current plan has 5 adult classrooms, a large multi-purpose space that can be divided into 4 student classrooms, 5 children's classrooms, 1 children's chapel, and 1 adult chapel space.

The (second) Cup

The Cup will continue to operate as the front porch for the community to get to know BCF.  It has also become a vital tool to build bridges not only to our neighbors, but to the Voss community as well as the business community around Bergheim.  God has used it in amazing ways, and we have first-hand knowledge of the fruit it has yielded for the kingdom.  This plan relocates the Cup and church offices onto church land in owned spaces instead of leased.  We can't wait to see how God continues to use this asset for His glory!

Campaign Details

The new church building and discipleship spaces alone comprise 28,500sf of space, which is larger than our initial estimate entailed.  We believe it is the right vision for the area, and the size is right for the church's permanent home.  God through His church will inform us if the vision is too lofty.  So far, we believe it is right.  Although we do not yet have bids from general contractors, we believe the church building cost will be in the neighborhood of $10 to $12 million.  God is already providing, with a private donor making the construction of The (second) Cup and church office building a reality by their generous gift.  Very early pledges and gifts for the church building have already been received totaling $3.1 million, and every dollar given will go directly to the church construction project.

One time donations can be made by check with "Advance Fund" in the memo field, or online through the church giving page through the "Advance Fund" option.  Regardless of the timing of your gifts, we would be grateful for total pledge amounts over a three year period to be entered by clicking the button below by September 1st.  This will enable the elders to plan accordingly.  Would you pray about how you may participate in creating a highly visible, beautiful church space in Bergheim to be used in the Advance-ment of Christ's kingdom?
