Kingdom Purpose

What is Important to BCF?

If you were to ask us, "What is different about Bergheim Christian Fellowship from other Bible-believing non-denominational Christian churches?" we would say, "We are..."

Anchored in the Word of God

Exegetical preaching means that the pastor walks verse-by-verse through books of the Bible when preaching.  While occasional topical preaching is helpful, preaching through books of the Bible will, eventually, cover all topics and ensures the teaching of God's Word stays true to the context in which it was written.  Time devoted to activities conveys their importance, therefore the largest devotion of time in the service is to the teaching and proclamation of God's Word.

Equipping the Family for Discipleship

God created the family as the core place where disciples are made, which is why biblical churches staunchly defend the marriage covenant made between man and woman, and the nuclear family that they form.  The church is to assist and equip them, and not compete with them.  BCF only offers nursery and toddler help during church service in order for children and students to attend church and learn about God as they watch mom and dad worship, listen to biblical teaching, take communion, and pray.  We are here to help mom and dad train their children to be a known and loved part of the church.

Committed to Congregational Worship

BCF is committed to a simplified "acoustic" style of worship which encourages more congregational participation.  We invite you to join the church in worshipping Jesus Christ our King, while not being tempted to just watch a worship production.  Age-old theologically sound hymns are blended with contemporary songs that draw our hearts to reverent worship of our Holy God.  We do not approach Him on our terms, but His, and our goal is to worship Him on earth as He is being worshipped in heaven: in the chorus of the redeemed, with joy and reverence, and with awe and wonder.

Existing for the Expansion of Christ's Kingdom

BCF is a "Great Commission" body of believers, knowing that our time spent on earth is to make Christ known to a dark and dying world beginning locally, and to the ends of the earth as the Lord leads.  We take Jesus' message with us as we go, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand," with the call to repent, receive salvation by grace through faith, and publicly proclaim this life-altering decision by being baptized.  This begins a lifelong path of discipleship and evangelism pointing everyone to the reality of Christ's kingdom, and to Christ as its King.

We can't wait to meet you!

However you've come across Bergheim Christian Fellowship, we want to welcome you to explore all that God is doing through this young church plant.  We invite you to explore our beliefs, history, and vision on these pages, then come visit our friendly group on Sunday morning!  Our incredible greeters will welcome you in, show you around, and even help you refill your coffee cup!

Our worship time begins at 9AM in the beautiful Mark Tyler Voss Middle School cafeteria where you'll experience an acoustic style blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs, Bible teaching (usually verse-by-verse through books of the Bible), finishing with communion and prayer.  We invite your entire family into our worship and teaching hour, then stay for a time of discipleship and fellowship for adults, students, and children.

Come and see what God is doing at BCF!
